5 Nasty Ways to Break up With Someone That are Still Better Than the Insta Break up

We all saw the Insta breakup heard 'round the world (you didn’t? No worries, I got you) — the high school dude that thought it was a ‘brilliant’ idea to break up with his girlfriend by posting a side-by-side pic of them together and one with her cut out, using the tag #TransformationTuesday. The picture went viral as basically the worst breakup of all time, and also earned the dude the title of biggest jerk EVER.

I can't imagine what was going through this guy's head that he somehow thought this new approach was somehow better than other classic breakup fails, but in case there were any confusion, here are five of the all-time worst ways to break up with someone that are still, somehow, not as bad as the Instagram hashtag.

Fashion: Rihanna is Looking Tutti Fruity in this Tropical Co-Ord

Rihanna combined two of this season's hottest trends at the weekend when she headed out in New York sporting one tutti fruity tropical co-ord.

The 23-year-old Bajan beauty flashed her killer abs in a sporty blue custom-made two-piece by Zoe Karssen, which featured an all-over tropical print and 'Cote D-azur' slogan.

Ticking off two huge trends for SS14, RiRI's matchy-matchy loungewear was given a glam metallic update via her Barbara Bui Silver Mirror Effect Oxford Shoes and silver chain necklace.

Long, relaxed waves, a slick of pillarbox red lipstick and a too-cool python embossed Chanel clutch completed the singer's pineapple-tastic look.

I'm loving!

Video: This Mum Beats Her 12-Year-Old Daughter for Posting Sexy Pictures on Facebook

So I don’t understand a lot of the Caribbean English (partois) being spoken by the mum but the video is self-explanatory. The girl who is 12-years-old posted some pictures/or some comments calculated to attract men on Facebook. Her mum (or guardian) got to find out and thought it to be inappropriate and capable of bringing "shame" to the family and so gave the girl got the hiding of her life. See video after the cut.

Teen Girl's Open Letter Defining Feminism to a Top US Politician Should be an Inspiration to Teens all Over the World

12-year-old Madison Kimrey is a young activist with a big heart
Madison KImrey first made headlines in America as the 12-year-old who would “restore your faith in the future of politics” when she called out North Carolina Governor, Pat McCrory for dismissing teens in a powerful speech last year. Now, the teen is back – and this time, she’s directing her ire at a 90-year-old lawyer and politician called Phyllis Schlafly.

What did dear old Schlafly do did I hear you ask? She dared to say that women who are paid the same (salary) as men won’t find husbands.

So this brave and gutsy 13 year old wrote an open letter in which she defined feminism to Schlafly.

See what Kimrey wrote after the cut:

This Teen’s Insanely Realistic Pencil Portrait Will Trip You

16-year-old Shania poses with her prize-winning work.
To say that 16-year-old Shania McDonagh has a “flair for drawing” would be quite an understatement; especially once you've seen her mad-impressive pencil portrait that could easily be mistaken for a photograph.

The talented Irish teen recently took home the top prize - and (1,500 – in the Texaco Children’s Art Competition for her drawing of a fisherman, titled “Coleman.”

From the wrinkles around the eye to the chin stubble, the detailing is nothing short of mind-blowing.

See the prize-winning portrait after the cut.

Careers: On Air Personality/Radio Presenter

Ace OAP on Nigeria Info FM 99.3, Zoe Chinaka tells
us what it takes to have her job
Zoe Chinaka is a radio presenter on 99.3 Nigeria Info FM Station. Yeah, those people that many people now call On Air Personalities (OAP) but Zoe thinks that this appellation is misconceived. “I think it’s wrongly called OAP because the word was coined from people who have made a name from coming very frequently on air with presenters; more like friends of shows but here in Nigeria, it adds up for presenters with personalities,” she says.

Ponder This...

6 mistakes people have made for centuries:

Former United States President, George W. Bush Exhibits his Paintings of World Leaders

Bush and his art teacher, Bonnie Flood

The exhibition features paintings of about 24 world leaders
Former United States President, George W. Bush will today open a public exhibit of his paintings of world leaders who he met when he was President.

The exhibition will be at his Dallas presidential library and will feature a self-portrait as well as other world leaders such as Tony Blair (former British prime Minister), Angela Merkel (German chancellor), as well as Vladimir Putin (Russian president) who’s painting Mr Bush or ‘43’ as he signs each canvass reckons is his finest work.

Turns out Mr Bush has been taking weekly art lesson and the whole world is now excited to see the works of the man who was long criticized for not being very good at expressing himself and only seeing things in black and white.

Here’s a sneak peek at the works.

Mama Konga, Nigeria's Female Well-Digger

Madam Ololade Rabiu aka Mama Konga, Nigeria's female well-digger
Have you heard of Mama Konga? Well, I stumbled upon her story today and thought it worth sharing.

Madam Ololade Rabiu is a female well-digger. Yes you read right – she’s a woman and she digs wells for a living. Her job has led her to dig as deep as 130 feet (40 metres) into the earth in search of drinking water in the Akute area of Ogun State.

A native of Ile Ife in Osun State, the 46 year old mother of 6 children has been practicing her trade since 1997. She was taught to dig wells by her Ghanaian 2nd husband, Daniel Ajiraku.

History: Schools =>Out, THq=> In

L-R Chief Obafemi Awolow, Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, and Alhaji Ahmadu Bello - Nationalist Leaders
So I still can’t wrap my head around why the Nigerian Government would remove History from the school curriculum. Of course, many reasons were given for the goof... err... move but the fact remains that as a people, even if they are not going to end up being Historians, our school students need to be introduced to History where they can learn about the past.

Girls Be Like Memes

One of my favorite memes is the "Girls be Like" meme. Enjoy.

Tech Vocab: What exactly is a Meme

You’ve seen hundreds of ‘em. You hold a few dear to your heart. You love seeing that Impact font. You laugh at those who pronounce it as meh-meh or mimi instead of mim (even though you once did). You think you know the internet, so you think you know what a meme is. But how did mems take over? Probably by being memes.
