Blessing's Bundle: Ingredients for a Better Relationship

Blessing dishes out relationship advice hot and fresh.
Blessing's Bundle is back with some more hard hitting relationship truths from one teen to another. As always, feel free to chip in your own two cents whether you agree, disagree, or wish to contribute some more points.
Communication
Communication: This is the greatest test of a good relationship.  Communication is the key, without this you won't understand each other better, without this your love for each other won't grow. It’s like making a soup without maggi and salt. You need communication to understand each other, discuss your strengths and weaknesses every month.

Be Honest. Agree to be honest. Sometimes the truth hurts, but it’s the key to a healthy relationship. Admit that you aren’t always perfect and apologise when you make a mistake instead of making excuses. You will feel better and it will help strengthen your relationship.

Check your body language. Make eye contact when speaking. Sit up and face your boyfriend/girlfriend, let he/she know that you’re listening. Show them you really care. Don’t take a phone call, text or play a video game when you’re talking. Listen and respond.

Trust: This is another great way of long lasting relationship. Building trust in a relationship can be difficult. People think they know how to, but sometimes it doesn't work with some people. Building trust is a very important part of a relationship, and without it, relationships can be very stressful.

Be predictable. A lot of people believe that mixing things up makes a great relationship for instance, always planning something new to surprise the other. First, although surprises are nice from time to time, stability and uniformity will strengthen, and are far more important in a relationship. Uniformity sounds boring, and we would all like some surprise in our life, but you need to be predictable to make things work in the long run. Predictability builds trust.

Expand your relationship consistently. There will always be room for growth. Through good times and bad, you must always be willing to stand tall and face all trials. When we listen to each other, even if the things you are hearing might hurt your feelings, you must face them in order to strengthen your relationship. If you don't do this, like a vine without water, your relationship will wither and die.

Trusting your boyfriend/girlfriend means he/she can rely on their love towards you, can fight for you and be willing to support your goals.   If your boyfriend/girlfriend can't trust you, then there is a problem.
