A teenager has admitted killing his mum
and dad because they confiscated his iPod.
Sixteen-year-old Vincent Parker
admitted launching the vicious attacks on his parents a week before Christmas,
because he was sick of them handing out punishments like taking his MP3 player
away.
The youngster, from Norfolk, Virginia,
attacked mum Carol with pepper spray as she came out of their bathroom in
December 2013, before stabbing her in the eye.
He then beat her around the head and
face with a baseball bat "until she stopped breathing", WTKR-TV news channelreports.
A short time later, when the boy's
father Wayne arrived home, Parker hit him with the crow bar and stabbed him a
number of times.
Mr Parker managed to dial the emergency services and tell police what had happened, but he later died in hospital. His wife was found dead at the scene.
Parker initially claimed his father had
attacked him first, but later admitted he had killed his parents and pleaded
guilty to two counts of second degree murder.
He told detectives: "I just
remember getting mad. It's all from my dad. All this stuff like my dad taking
away my iPod and stuff."
His grandfather Allen Taylor - Carol's
father - said he struggled to understand why his grandson had turned violent.
He said: "He is smart in school. I
don't know what happened."
Parker will be sentenced in September.
